ZenDoKai Kidz Karate

Kidz Karate is the second of our programmes aimed at introducing children to Martial Arts. It is the kidz version of the Zen Do Kai Freestyle Karate style devised by Soke Bob Jones, who runs the largest martial arts entity in South East Asia.

The Kidz Karate programme teaches kidz the fundamentals of stand-up self-defense; including kicks, punches, elbows and knee strikes. Also they are taught throws and techniques to get away from attackers, all in a safe, professionally supervised environment.

Renshi Mick Clark runs the Kidz Karate classes each Thursday night from 5:30pm till 6:30pm. Renshi Mick is a 4th Degree in Zen Do Kai, and has over 27 years experience in martial arts. Mick's attitude to having fun, but being respectful has kidz coming back for more each lesson.

Kids Muaythai

Kids Muaythai is a fantastic & fun way to get fit & improve self-confidence.
This class is held every Tuesday afternoon from 4:45pm till 5:30pm. It is open
from ages 6 years old to 13 years old, boys and girls. Our Kids Muaythai mascot
is "Sor" the Tiger, and he places grrrreat importance on training safely,
having fun and teaching kids about when and where to do Kids Muaythai.

Mat Reid instructs the class and takes great pride in helping the kids
develop their Muaythai skills, and improve their self-confidence and
sense of accomplishment. The syllabus is graded depending on the kids
abilities at each level. As Karate have differing coloured belts, Kids Muaythai
have different coloured tshirts to denote the level they are at. Kids will start at
white tshirt, and progress through to Yellow, Orange, Blue, Green & Brown.

Not only are we teaching the kids how to kick, punch, knee, elbow and
grapple, but we are also introduce them to the 'traditional' side of Muaythai. By showing kids the history of the sport, and the many traditions and customs, we find a better appreciation and understanding of the style.
